Lions Club of Silchar Greater along with Leo greater organises COVID-19 awareness programme

August 13: Lions Club of Silchar Greater organised a COVID-19 awareness programme in Katakhal Kalinagar village area on Wednesday. The Lions were accompanied by Leo Club of Silchar Greater and a local NGO, Panchajanya. Lions Zone Chairperson of Dist 322g cum Club Administrator Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta was the main speaker.

During his speech, Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta spoke on the different safety measures related to Covid-19. Along with Club President Lion Anoop Dutta and Leo President Debosmita Biswas, some local speakers also shared their views on Covid-19. The club distributed free masks and hand sanitizer among 200 people of the village. The Lions Greater also got cooperation in this project from BVLC Chairman Lion Amarnath Khandelwal and Club Guiding Lion Dr.K.R.Paul.

Among others, Lions Silchar Greater’s 1st Vice President Lion Indraneel Rudra Gupta, Secretary Lion Debaraj Dhar and Treasurer Lion Lucky Das were present. On behalf of Leo Club of Silchar Greater, Secretary Leo Subhajit Das, PRO Leo Parnasree Das, Director Leo Abhijit Mahajan and Service Director Leo Bisak Deb were present.

On behalf of Panchajanya NGO, Secretary Nidhu Purkayastha conveyed thanks to Lions Club and Leo Club of Silchar Greater for undertaking such social activities. On behalf of the NGO, Manabendra Dey, Bibhash Ranjan Dey and Madan Gopal Dey, present and former AP Member Sekhar Sarkar and Dheeman Dey were also present.
