COVID claims life of 3 more in Assam, death tally rises to 27

July 9: On Thursday, 3 more deaths due to COVID-19 were reported from Assam. They are Bhaben Gogoi (72), who was tested COVID-19 positive and was also suffering from lymphoma. He was admitted at AMCH. The second person to succumb to coronavirus is Dhaneswar Seal (68). He tested positive for COVID-19 and was also a patient of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease . The 3rd person to lose the battle against COVID-19 was Tarzuna Begum (38). She also had diabetes and was admitted,at MMCH.  Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “My heartfelt condolences to the 3 families.”

Earlier during the day, 2 more patient died due to COVID-19. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “Very sad to inform that 2 more #COVID19 + patients Sri Prosnna Kumar Haloi (70) of Beltola, Guwahati and Sri Ramsingh Hanse (56) of Karbianglong admitted in GMCH Covid ICU succumbed to their critical infections this morning. Both were on invasive ventilation. My condolences.”
