Noted astrologer Bejan Daruwalla dies after developing COVID-19 like symptoms

May 29: Noted astrologer Bejan Daruwala passed away on Friday due to lung infection at a Gujarat hopsital. He was 89. He complained of pneumonia like symptoms and was admitted at city’s Apollo Hospital about a week ago. The astrologer reportedly died of complications which were similar to that of coronavirus. His astrologer son Nastur, however, denied that his father had coronavirus.

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani expressed grief on Bejan Daruwala’s death on Twitter and wrote, “Saddened by the demise of renowned Astrologer Shri Bejan Daruwalla. I pray for the departed soul. My condolences. Om Shanti”.

As per reports, Daruwalla had predicted victories of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Morarji Desai and Narendra Modi and even assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. A practicing Zoroastrian, Daruwalla was also a Ganesha devotee and astrology columns in various leading newspapers went under the title ‘Ganesha Speaks’.
