Increasing demand of quarantine facilities, DC meets with religious leaders

May 19: Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli on Tuesday met various religious leaders over availability of quarantine facilities in face of increasing demand for quarantine facilities.

She was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Jessica Lalsim and Circle Officer Silchar Dhrubajoyti Pathak. They visited various proposed quarantine centers due to increasing demand of quarantine facilities in the district. The Deputy Commissioner went to Don Bosco School at Ramnagar and interacted there with Father Nelson Joseph. She explored the possibilities of converting the school to a quarantine centre, She went around the campus and took stock of the toilets and drinking facilities available therein.

Later on. Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly Aminul Haque Laskar accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli and Superintendent of Police, Cachar Manabendra Devray visited Madrassa. Deputy Commissioner spoke with various Maulanas. She also inspected all the rooms of the Madrassa building and enquired about the drinking water and toilets facilities available there.

DC Jalli emphasized again on coming together of all religious communities in the fight against coronavirus pandemic together.
