Karimganj administration allows home delivery of milk, milk products, sweets & confectioneries

April 24: On the onset of Ramzan month and in pursuance of the consolidated guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs vide order number 40 3/2020 DM (A) dated 15 pril,2020, all licensed sweet shops in Karimganj district are permitted to deliver milk, milk products, sweets and other confectionery food items subject to the following conditions:

• Only home delivery/ door-step delivery is permitted.
• All delivery agents/ persons shall carry valid ID card along with the copy of Trade License/ Shop License issued by the Firm/ Shop.
• All delivery agents/ persons shall wear mask/ face cover and hand gloves while delivering the products.
• They shall maintain social distancing of atleast one meter.
• Any violation of above mentioned terms and conditions will be punishable offence under section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and under section 188/270 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).

The order was issued by the District Magistrate Karimganj and Chairman of DDMA Karimganj on 24 April, 2020.
