Former MP Kamalendu Bhattacharjee donates ₹1 lakh to PM-CARES Fund

April 11: Former Rajya Sabha MP Kamalendu Bhattacharjee came forward and stood by the nation in its fight against coronavirus. On Friday, Mr. Bhattacharjee handed over a cheque of Rs.1 Lakh for PM-CARES Fund to Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy. While accepting the cheque, Dr. Roy appealed to all to stand besides the government at this crucial hour.

The cheque was handed over in the premises of Silchar Red Cross Society. It needs mention here that Kamalendu Bhattacharjee was the former Chairman and also the life member of Red Cross Society. Dipayan Chakraborty, Secretary of Silchar Red Cross Society also thanked all for being a soldier in this fight against the deadly virus.
