Corona: District Bar Association, Silchar to remain closed till Sunday

March 16: As a preventive measure against the spread of Coronavirus, District Bar Association, Silchar has decided to remain closed till Sunday. Only urgent matters related to bail and injunction will be heard in the Court during this period. An emergent meeting in this connection was held at District Bar Association, Silchar on Monday wherein this decision was taken.

Earlier, District Judge came to the Bar and discussed about the same and conveyed the concern expressed by the High Court regarding the threat of Corona Virus. It needs mention here that the Gauhati High Court has also decided to hear only very important cases and that too in the presence of minimum persons in the court room. These steps were adopted in the backdrop of corona threat across the country.
