5-year old child in Assam runs 15 km daily, wins heart of Sonowal who assures help

February 21: What else could one say than ‘extraordinary’ and express awe at the feat achieved by a 5-year old child. Indeed it is worth to note that Gitanjali Barua, a 5-year old child from Jorhat in Assam runs 15 km daily in the hope of realizing her dreams of being an athlete. Once the photo of the child became viral in social media, it also reached the hands of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

Taking to Twitter, Sonowal wrote, “Assam is brimming with many hidden talents. And 5-year old Gitanjali Barua from Jorhat, who runs 15 km daily is another reiteration of the same.”
