Divyanganjan Vikas Kendra inaugurated at Silchar Civil Hospital

January 30: Due to the active initiative of SAKSHAM, South Assam Prant, an office designated as Divyanganjan Vikas Kendra was inaugurated on Thursday in the premises of S.M. Dev Civil Hospital Silchar. This office was inaugurated on the occasion of National Leprosy Day.

The ribbon of the new room was cut by the Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sarma along with MLA Silchar Dilip Kumar Paul in presence of a host of dignitaries. This was followed by a formal meeting which was presided over by the DC Cachar.

In his speech, the Chief Guest of the occasion, MP Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy spoke about the need of such a venue for Divyanganjan Vikas. SAKSHAM took this opportunity to thank MLA Dilip Kumar Paul for granting the room to them for the welfare of Dibyang persons. They also thanked the authorities of Silchar Civil Hospital for their kind support. Two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect on the occasion of National Martyrs Day.
