Maharishi Vidya Mandir organises blood donation camp in its silver jubilee year

January 13: To commemorate its Silver Jubilee year, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silchar organised a blood donation camp on Monday. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Samita Dutta, Principal of the School along with Ashu Paul, Working President of the Central Committee of Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum (BVVBDF) along with the Working President of Cachar District Committee of BVVBDF.

Speaking during the occasion, Samita Dutta said that the blood donation camp was organised keeping in mind the teachings of Maharishi who always regarded service to mankind as the prime responsibility of human beings. The camp was organised in collaboration with BVVBDF. A total of 16 teachers, staff including 6 women donated blood in this camp.

The technical support was provided by S.M. Dev Civil Hospital Blood Bank. Those present in the health camp on behalf of BVVBDF were Karunamoy Paul, Debabrata Paul, Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta, Ranjit Mishra, Bubu Choudhury among others.
