Barak Valley observes 31st National Road Safety Week along with the rest of the country

January 11: Road Safety Awareness campaigns are required to be promoted more effectively so as to draw the public attention and  bring consciousness among them. The main motto is to put a brake to daily road accidents by drawing public attention very effectively to a level of bountiful. The 31st National Road Safety Week started on 11 January and will continue till 17 January, 2020.

Barak Valley also observed the 31st National Road Safety Week on 11 January. On this occasion, an awareness rally on traffic rules and regulations was organised in Hailakandi district. School children, government officials, transport department and students took part in this rally in large numbers in Hailakandi.

In Cachar district too, the 31st National Road Safety Week was observed. Silchar traffic police observed the National Road Safety Week. Traffic police distributed leaflets at various points of Silchar town in order to make the public aware about safe driving.
