1.15 Lakh PMAY-G beneficiaries to light diyas across Cachar on Sept 17
way2barak, September 16: –More than 1.15 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) in Cachar district will join a collective diya lighting programme on Thursday evening as part of the PMAY-G Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan.
At 7 pm on September 17, beneficiaries who have completed construction of their PMAY-G houses will light diyas at their respective locations, marking the completion of their houses under the rural housing programme. Around 1,15,909 beneficiaries are expected to take part in the activity across the district.
The programme will also be documented through photographs and videos which will be uploaded on the designated “Aashirbadar Bonti” portal.
Notably,the diya lighting programme is expected to bring together PMAY-G beneficiaries across the district in a common celebration of the completion of their houses with participation being coordinated through the grassroots level Panchayati Raj institutions.
