ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১০ সেপ্টেম্বর : টানটান উত্তেজনা, চমৎকার দক্ষতা আর শেষ বাঁশির সঙ্গে উচ্ছ্বাস—এভাবেই জমজমাট আয়োজনে শেষ হল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্পোর্টস বোর্ড আয়োজিত ১৪তম আন্তঃকলেজ ফুটবল (পুরুষ) প্রতিযোগিতা। বৃহস্পতিবার শ্বাসরুদ্ধকর ফাইনালে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে ৩-১ গোলে পরাজিত করে চ্যাম্পিয়নের মুকুট ছিনিয়ে নিল থং নকবে কলেজ। ফলে রানার্স-আপ হয়েই থাকতে হল আয়োজক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের টিমকে।

ফাইনালে শুরু থেকেই আক্রমণাত্মক ফুটবল উপহার দেয় দুই দল। তবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মুহূর্তগুলিতে থং নকবে কলেজের খেলোয়াড়দের দক্ষতা ও দলগত সমন্বয় ম্যাচের রং বদলে দেয়। শেষ পর্যন্ত ৩-১ ব্যবধানে জয় তুলে নিয়ে কাঙ্ক্ষিত ট্রফি নিজেদের ঘরে তোলে থং নকবে কলেজ।

ফাইনাল শেষে আয়োজিত হয় পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠান। প্রতিযোগিতাজুড়ে অসাধারণ পারফরম্যান্সের জন্য একাধিক খেলোয়াড়কে পুরস্কারে সম্মানিত করা হয়। প্রতিযোগিতার সেরা গোলরক্ষক নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন কাছাড় কলেজের বিশাল গোয়ালা। থং নকবে কলেজের জবিন খাখলারি পেয়েছেন সেরা ডিফেন্ডার-এর পুরস্কার। আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জর্জ লাব্রিগুন হামার নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন সেরা লিঙ্কম্যান।

আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের হুংকামবে জাম্মে প্রতিযোগিতায় নিজের দুর্দান্ত গোল করার দক্ষতার স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে একসঙ্গে পেয়েছেন সেরা ফরোয়ার্ড এবং সর্বোচ্চ গোলদাতার পুরস্কার।ফাইনালের সেরা খেলোয়াড়ের সম্মান পেয়েছেন চ্যাম্পিয়ন থং নকবে কলেজের তারিজা ডাইমেরি। আর গোটা প্রতিযোগিতায় ধারাবাহিক ও নজরকাড়া পারফরম্যান্সের জন্য টুর্নামেন্টের সেরা খেলোয়াড় নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কল্যাণ মোহান্তি।

এবারের প্রতিযোগিতার শেষ দৃশ্যে তাই একদিকে চ্যাম্পিয়নের উল্লাসে মাতল থং নকবে কলেজ, অন্যদিকে রানার্স-আপ হয়েও দুর্দান্ত লড়াইয়ের স্বাক্ষর রাখলো আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। এদিন পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক অশোক কুমার সেন, স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের ডিরেক্টর অধ্যাপিকা এম তিনেশ্বরী দেবী, প্রাক্তন ডিরেক্টর তথা একাডেমিক্স অধ্যাপক চিররঞ্জন ভট্টাচার্য, ডেপুটি ডিরেক্টর ড. তপোধীর আচার্য, এসিস্ট্যান্ট ডিরেক্টর ড. সিদ্ধার্থ শর্মা, সদস্য ড. বিশ্বরঞ্জন রায়, ড. অমিত ওরাং, কে আনন্দ কুমার সিংহ, নিরঞ্জন দাস প্রমুখ।

Way2barak, September 10 : The 14th Inter-College Football (Men) Tournament 2026–27, organised by the Assam University Sports Board, concluded on Thursday amid intense competition, impressive footballing skills and jubilant celebrations. In a thrilling final, Thong Nokbe College defeated Assam University 3–1 to lift the championship trophy, leaving the host university team as the runners-up.

Both teams began the final on an attacking note, producing an exciting contest from the very beginning. However, Thong Nokbe College displayed superior teamwork, coordination and composure at crucial moments, which ultimately turned the match in their favour. They sealed the title with a convincing 3–1 victory.

Following the final, a prize distribution ceremony was organised to honour the outstanding performers of the tournament. Bishal Goala of Cachar College was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper, while Jabin Khakhlari of Thong Nokbe College received the award for Best Defender. George Labrigun Hmar of Assam University was named the Best Linkman.

Assam University’s Hungkambhe Jamme was awarded both the Best Forward and Highest Goal Scorer titles in recognition of his outstanding goal-scoring ability throughout the tournament.
Tarija Daimary of Thong Nokbe College, the champions, was named the Player of the Final, while Kalyan Mohanty of Assam University was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his consistent and impressive performances throughout the competition.

The tournament thus concluded with Thong Nokbe College celebrating a well-deserved championship triumph, while Assam University, despite finishing as runners-up, left its mark with a spirited and commendable campaign.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Vice-Chancellor I/c Prof. Asoke Kumar Sen, Director of the Sports Board Prof. M. Tineshwori Devi, former Director and Professor of Academics Prof. Chiranjan Bhattacharjee, Deputy Director Dr. Tapodhir Acharjee, Assistant Director Dr. Siddhartha Sharma, member Dr. Biswaranjan Roy, Dr. Amit Orang, K. Ananda Kumar Singh, Niranjan Das, among others.
