Niramaya conducts Special Independence Day Wellness Program at Nagatilla BRTF Camp

Way2barak, August 13 : Ahead of the 80th Independence Day, a special yoga and meditation session was organized for the GREF personnel, staff, and Casual Paid Labourers (CPL) of the 510 SS&TC (GREF), Project Pushpak, at the Recreation Hall in Nagatilla BRTF Camp, Silchar, on Wednesday, August 12. Conducted by NIRAMAYA – School of Yoga Education, the wellness program was organized under the initiative and leadership of Colonel Amit Agarwal, Commanding Officer of the unit. The event saw active participation from approximately 80 members of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
The session was led by senior faculty members from NIRAMAYA, including Shatakshi Bhattacharjee and Yogacharya Rahul. The entire program was dedicated to the martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces and the Border Roads Organisation who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation. The meditation session created an emotionally resonant atmosphere as it was set to patriotic melodies, leaving many participants deeply moved while honoring the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers. Attendees expressed great pride in serving the nation through the BRO and extended their gratitude to the NIRAMAYA faculty for the experience.

Organized alongside the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the session aimed to foster patriotism and promote holistic well-being. Acknowledging the grueling and isolated conditions under which BRO personnel operate—guided by their motto, “In the Silence of Our Great Mountains We Will Find a Way or Make One”—NIRAMAYA regularly conducts sessions to support their physical and mental resilience.
Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Amit Agarwal emphasized that a healthy body and mind are essential for fulfilling any resolve and serving the nation effectively. Highlighting the core objective of the initiative, Colonel Agarwal urged everyone to adopt and spread the dual message: “Har Ghar Ke Upar Tiranga & Har Ghar Ke Andar Yoga.”
