Dr. Pranesh Debnath Authors Textbook on GST

way2barak June 4: A comprehensive textbook titled ‘Goods and Services Tax (GST)’ authored by Dr. Pranesh Debnath, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Assam University, Silchar, has been published by Success Mantra Publications, Kolkata.

The book, comprising 10 chapters, is tailored for students pursuing MBA, CA, ICWA, BBA, M.Com. and B.Com. courses. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the book is a valuable resource for teaching and learning in undergraduate and postgraduate management courses at higher educational institutions across the country, including degree colleges, universities, NITs, IITs, and IIMs. It will also serve as a useful guide for GST practitioners and tax consultants.

Dr. Pranesh Dehnath works as an Assistant Professor at Assam University. He is a recipient of Two Gold Medals for securing the highest marks in B.Com and M.Com under Tripura University. He has qualified for JRE, NET and SET in both Commerce and Management subjects. Dr. Debnath is also a recipient of the Brilliant Performance Award conferred by the Indian Accounting Association based on the National Accounting Talent Search Examination. His research interests include Financial Inclusion, Financial Literacy, ESG, SDGs and taxation. He holds a Ph.D. (2019) from Tripura University.

Dr. Debnath has also served Tripura University for six years (2015 to 2021) as Assistant Registrar (Finance) before joining Assam University.
