Transparent randomisation of EVM successfully carried out in Cachar

way2barak, March 29 – In a crucial step towards ensuring free and fair elections, the District Administration of Cachar on Saturday successfully carried out the second supplementary randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the upcoming 2026 Assembly Election.
The exercise, aimed at maintaining absolute transparency in the allocation of additional EVMs across polling stations, was conducted in a closely monitored environment. The process unfolded in the presence of General Observers Kanhuraj H. Bagate, M. Lakshmi and Anshul Mishra along with District Election Officer Aayush Garg,IAS representatives of various political parties and senior officials of the district administration.
While sharing his reaction DC Aayush Garg said that the randomisation process plays a key role in eliminating any scope of bias by ensuring that the machines are allocated purely through a computerised system. The presence of political party representatives added another layer of confidence, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to a transparent electoral exercise.
After the completion of the process, detailed lists of the allocated EVMs were shared with contesting candidates and political parties. This step was taken to uphold the integrity of the election process and to keep all stakeholders informed.
