Silchar Niramaya conducted “Yogic Wellness” Program in Katlicherra

Way2barak, November 9 : The “Yogic Wellness” Program was organized on Saturday at Katlicherra Pranabananda Vidyamandir and Saraswati Vidyaniketan Senior Secondary School. The event was conducted by the Silchar Niramaya School of Yoga Education and the Institute for Yoga Education Research and Holistic Sciences. The chief organizer of the entire event was Professor Dr. Debajit De, head of the management committees of both schools.

From Niramaya, advisor Shobhon Banerjee, Chief Coordinator Yogacharya Rahul, two demonstrators Ratul Chakraborty and Himaghna Bhattacharjee, along with Madhumita Banerjee, were present. Chief Acharya Sumita Dhar, Principal Dipak Kanti Aich, yoga teachers Bile Dev, and Samrat Das played an active role in making the event successful. It is noteworthy that teachers and students participated actively in this program, which is part of Niramaya’s Yoga Chetana Abhiyan’ (Yoga Awareness Campaign).

Dr. Debajit De stated that the event was organized to spread yoga education in society. He said, “Yoga is not just a few asanas and a competitive stage; it is a complete package for lifestyle practice.” He added that the resource persons from Niramaya School of Yoga Education demonstrated and explained this very point to the students and teachers. Professor Debajit stressed the importance of including yoga education in the syllabus of every educational institution.

The training session began with the lighting of the lamp and a collective recitation of Vedic mantras. Officials from Niramoy were felicitated by both schools. They were also honored at Katlicherra B.Ed. College. Furthermore, Niramaya School of Yoga Education presented the ‘Yoga-Sangam’ memento along with certificates to the authorities of each institution.

In a press statement, Niramoy further informed that the Ministry of Ayush has undertaken various initiatives to spread yoga education. A campaign is underway to ensure people at every level get opportunities, understand the importance of yoga education. Similarly, the Indian Yoga Association is also working in the same direction to promote and spread yoga education. As an Ayush Ministry-recognized institution and a “Member Institution” of the Indian Yoga Association, Niramaya School of Yoga Education is conducting free awareness campaigns throughout the year. They are resolving to collaborate with various educational institutions through “MoUs” (Memorandums of Understanding).
Regular practice of yoga processes is highly beneficial for overall development, keeping the body and mind healthy, and leading a stress-free life. Niramaya is essentially trying to spread this message through various plans and activities.
