There’s no proposal under Centre’s consideration for restoration of old pension scheme: Centre

way2barak, Dec.12: The Central Government has no proposal to restore old pension scheme (OPS) by scrapping National Pension Scheme (NPS). This was stated by Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad on Monday. The Minister of State further stated that the state governments of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand have informed the Centre about their decision to restart OPS. He also said that the funds deposited in form of government and employees’ contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS) cannot be refunded.
