Police constable shot dead by his colleague in Assam

way2barak, Dec.6: An Assam Police constable identified as Gakul Basumatary was on Tuesday shot dead by his colleague Dipak Kakati with his service gun at the Sonari Sadan police station in Assam’s Charaideo district. The accused, Deepak Kakoti, fired four rounds of bullets at around 9.20 AM today and then surrendered to the police.

The injured police constable was immediately rushed to the hospital but declared dead by the doctors. The actual reason behind this is yet to be ascertained and the investigation is on.
