Sonowal visits NIT Silchar, play with students at All India Inter NIT Tournament 2022

way2barak, Nov.20: Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Minister of AYUSH is on a two-day tour of Barak Valley. On Sunday, the Union Minister visited NIT Silchar where he interacted with hundreds of enthusiastic students of NITs across India at the All India Inter NIT Tournament 2022 at NIT Silchar. Expressing delight, Sonowal said, “A fabulous start to a Sunday!”

Also, on the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary celebration of Mahabir Lachit Barphukan, a blood donation camp was organised by NIT Silchar in association with Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). Union Minister Sonowal inaugurated the camp and met with the blood donors.

Later on, he inaugurated the new building of Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM) at Ghungoor, Silchar.
