Health check up of 521 beneficiaries done at Kurkuri TE under Swasthya Seva Abhiyan

way2barak, Oct.22: Under Swasthya Seva Abhiyan – 3, NHM, Assam, Cachar, a Health Mela was organised on Friday at Kurkuri Tea Estate Nachghar under Jalalpur Block PHC of Cachar district.

A total of 521 beneficiaries’ health check up was done along with their blood grouping and other required blood tests. Two specialist doctors from SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar along with other specialist doctors from Kalain CHC and Katigorah Model Hospital checked up the beneficiaries and all were provided with necessary medicines. Various departments viz. O&G, Paediatrics, General Medicine and Psychiatrist were there to render services. Stalls for NVBDCP, NLEP and Family Planning were opened also for rendering their services to the needy people.

Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Rohan Kumar Jha graced the Health Mela along with the Joint Director of Health Services of Cachar. Sunil Singh, the Manager of Kurkuri TE, also extended his support and cooperation from the nascent to completion stage of the Health Mela. The camp was jointly inaugurated by Dr Suman Bhowmick, the SDM&HO, Jalalpur BPHC and by Sunil Singh the Manager, Kurkuri TE.
