BSF Mizoram & Cachar Frontier organises programme on Run up to Teachers’ Day
way2barak, Sept.2: On 1 September, that is, the first day of Run up to Teachers Day, BSF Mizoram and Cachar Frontier organized a programme for school children at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Masimpur, Silchar. Binay Kumar Jha IG, BSF M&C Frontier graced the occasion. During this programme, a documentary video on “BSF– India’s First Line of Defence” was shown, pamphlets on recruitment procedure in BSF in Hindi, English and local language were distributed, also organized Weapon Exhibition and BSF Band played patriotic tunes. School children and BSF Jawans also performed cultural activities.
During the event, IG BSF addressed the school children, presented Gamocha and BSF memento to the Principal and teachers to honour them. The BSF programme has been appreciated by all the participants. BSF is going to organize such more programmes in total 74 selected schools of Barak Valley, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland under this Frontier upto far-flung bordering areas with an aim to educate youths to know the BSF and Recruitment process for joining in BSF at different ranks and to encourage and motivate them to serve the Nation with pride and honour and also to inculcate patriotism among border population.
