Bangladeshi national arrested from Karimganj, 2 cartons of alcohol recovered

Aug 10: Border Security Force (BSF) at the India-Bangladesh border arrested a Bangladeshi national from Laxmibazar area of Karimganj on Tuesday. Infact, a group of smugglers from Karimganj were nabbed by the BSF who had crossed the Kushiyara River and entered into the Indian territory. All managed to escape except one. The arrested youth was identified as Zakir Hussain of Garergaram under Sylhet district of Jakiganj in Bangladesh.

Two cartons of alcohol were recovered from Zakir’s possession. He confessed of the involvement of few Indians in the smuggling network, who helps the Bangladeshi smugglers in the import and export of alcohol.
