AIUDF offers support to Yashwant Sinha in upcoming Presidential elections

July 17: In a new development, the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Sunday stated that it will vote for the Opposition’s Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha in the upcoming elections. AIUDF leader Aminul Islam said, “We will back Yashwant Sinha even as it was sidelined during Sinha’s recent visit to Assam to seek support for his candidature.” Presidential elections will be held on July 18.

On 21 June 2022, Yashwant Sinha, former BJP leader, was unanimously chosen as common candidate of UPA and other opposition parties for 2022 Presidential Election. On the same day NDA chose Draupadi Murmu as its presidential candidate.
