Flood 2.0: Payment of damages to be made by 25 July: Jayanta Mallah Baruah
June 30: In a press meet held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner today evening, Minister Jayanta Mallah Baruah amplified the directions from Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Other key instructions:
✅No genuine affected person should be left out of the lists to be made by DCs and no non-genuine names to be included
✅Pay ₹3,800 to each family staying in relief camps and other self-arranged shelters on dykes, roads etc., in next 3/4 days— Himanta Biswa Sarma (@himantabiswa) June 30, 2022
Highlights of the Press Meet:
1, Assessment of household damages to be completed by 15 July
2, Payments for the damages will be paid by 25 July
3, Assessments for Fishery damages to be undertaken after approval of few amendments by Assam Cabinet at the earliest
4, Damages of Rs 3,800 as payments for loss of utensils in households to be done at the earliest after assessments.
5, Payments to students ( in Relief Camps ) whose books were washed off in the floods will be made to the tune of Rs 1,000
6. Payment of Rs 95,000 to those whose houses were fully damaged & Rs. 5,000 to those whose houses were partially damaged.
7. Chief Minister instructed assessing officials not to be too strict while making assessment of damages due to flood.
8. All Flood related relief measures and Damages have been taken on a priority mode.
