After Dwarbond, landslide occurs in Chandighat area of Cachar

June 19: Due to torrential rainfall, landslides occurred at multiple spots in Cachar district. On Sunday, landslide was reported from Chandighat area in Udharbond constituency of Cachar. However, no casualty was reported. Meanwhile, the Circle Officer of Udharbond visited the site. Excessive rainfall is posing hazard in clearance of the road.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, the Silchar- Hailakandi road at Dwarbond in Cachar district witnessed landslide. As a result, movement of vehicular traffic on this route was affected.
