Precarious condition of NH-06 due to incessant rainfall, heavy vehicles unable to ply

June 16: Due to the unrelenting heavy downpour, some parts of the road on NH-06 connecting Silchar with Guwahati under Lumshnong Police Station in Meghalaya has been badly damaged. As such,  Heavy Motor Vehicles would be unable to pass through this road. This was informed at 9 AM on 16 June by East Jaintia Hills Police.

Earlier, on 15 June, landslides occurred at several places in this route. The Meghalaya Police cautioned not to travel through this route especially in the night.

IMPORTANT UPDATE AND ALERT.
