CM Assam inaugurates new RSS office building ‘Sudarshanalaya’ in Guwahati
April 2: On Saturday, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma formally inaugurated the new office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Guwahati. The office building named ‘Sudarshanalaya’ was inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the presence of his cabinet colleague Bimal Bora and MP Pabitra Margherita apart from many leaders of RSS.
Taking to his twitter handle, the Chief Minister wrote, “Happy to inaugurate Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samittee’s office ‘Sudarshanalaya’ along with senior @RSS org leaders Shri @SureshSoni1925 ji, Shri Basistha Bujarbaruah ji, Shri Sankar Das ji & others at VIP Road, Guwahati. The bhavan, which embodies the commitment of our leaders towards re-establishing the glory of our Bharatvarsha, will help Karyakartas address the vexed issue of cultural erosion. It will also provide us ample opportunity to propagate the idea of national integration.”

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist volunteer organisation. The RSS is the progenitor and leader of a large body of organisations called the Sangh Parivar, which have presence in all facets of the Indian society. RSS was founded on 27 September, 1925.
