Cachar bags 2nd position in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana

Apr. 1: It’s another feather in the cap of Cachar district administration. The district has been adjudged as 2nd in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY). It needs mention here that last year, Cachar bagged the 1st position in the implementation of PMAGY. However, this year, Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh secured the 1st position.

On Friday, the results of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana for this year  was informed through the website of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. It needs mention here that the works of PMAGY is going on in a fast pace in 62 villages of Cachar District.

The Scheme provides for An ‘Adarsh Gram’ is one wherein people have access to various basic services so that the minimum needs of all the sections of the society are fully met and disparities are reduced to a minimum. These villages would have all such infrastructure and its residents will have access to all such basic services that are necessary for a dignified living, creating thereby an environment in which everyone is enabled to utilize her/his potential to the fullest.
