Brown sugar worth ₹20 lakh recovered from a vehicle by Patharkandi police, 2 peddlers nabbed

March 6: In another strike against narcotics, 27 boxes containing Brown Sugar were recovered from an Alto vehicle (TR/05/D/0625). On the basis of a tip-off, Patharkandi police searched the vehicle and recovered 27 soap cases containing suspected Brown Sugar from the dicky of the car. The vehicle was going from Achimganj in Karimganj district to Dharmanagar in Tripura.

The market value of the seized brown sugar is estimated to be over Rs 20 lakh. In this connection, two drug peddlers were also nabbed by the police. Both of them are residents of Dharmanagar in Tripura.
