5,902 found Covid +ve in Assam, 5,625 discharged & 18 deaths registered on Monday

Jan. 24: On Monday, out of 56,519 tests, 5,902 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,98,713. The positivity rate in the state is 10.44 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 1,044 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 18 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,319. The recovery rate is 92.59 percent. Also, 5,625 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 44,075 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Sunday, 2,277 persons tested positive in Assam and 13 deaths were registered.
