5,580 found Covid +ve in Assam, 2918 discharged & 13 deaths registered on Friday

Jan. 22: On Saturday, out of 45,900 tests, 5,580 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,90,534. The positivity rate in the state is 12.16 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 1,172 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 13 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,288. The recovery rate is 91.99 percent. Also, 2,918 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 47,670 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 6,897 persons tested positive in Assam and 15 deaths were registered.
