988 found Covid +ve in Assam, 488 discharged & 1 death registered on Sunday

Jan 9: On Sunday, out of 15,238 tests, 988 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,26,741. The positivity rate in the state is 6.48 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 490 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Sonitpur. The death toll in the state stands at 6,181. The recovery rate is 97.99 percent. Also, 488 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 5.087 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, 1,254 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
