1 more Covid +ve patient from Ambicapatty die at SMCH on 28 December

Dec 28: The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 27 December to 5 PM on 28 December) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.

• Rajendra Das (52) from Ambicapatty, Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 23 December. The patient, however, breathed his last at 9.35 AM on 28 December. 2021.

It needs mention here that the last patient who died due to coronavirus at SMCH was Abhijit Gupta (62) from Malugram. He died on 15 December.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 28 December, there were 10 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 are in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 06 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
