More than 10,000 teaching posts vacant in central universities

Dec. 16: There are over 10,000 vacant positions of teachers across the central universities, IITs and IIMs. This was informed by the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. In a written response, the Education Minister said that many as 6,535 full-time teaching posts were vacant in 54 central universities, 403 across 20 IIMs and 3,876 in the 23 IITs.
