Sushmita Dev sworn in as MP of Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, takes oath in Bengali
Oct. 26: Parting ways with the Congress, Sushmita Dev had joined AITMC. Following this, she was given the ticket by her new party to contest in Rajya Sabha from West Bengal. Sushmita was elected unopposed to the Upper House. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, she was sworn-in as the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. She took the oath in Bengali.
Taking to her twitter handle, Sushmita Dev wrote, “My oath as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha today in Delhi. It’s an honour to be a part of the AITMC team in the upper house. Together we will fight for the people & to protect the interest of the nation under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee.”
