Shops & house gutted in major fire at Fancy Bazar Guwahati

December 25: A devastating fire broke out at Fancy Bazar area of Guwahati on Tuesday morning. Fire and Emergency Services Department responded fast. Around ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Though the exact cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained yet prima facie evidence reveals that the fire might have occurred due to short circuit.

Couple of godowns including that of a thermocol, a press and a house have been reduced to ashes. However, there were no report of any casualties.
