Symptomatic passengers with 2 doses of vaccine or those with 1 dose to undergo RTPCR test at ₹250 on arrival

Those vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccines & possess such certificate exempted from mandatory testing on arrival

Sept. 1: Strict containment measures including continuous screening of incoming passengers through airports, railway stations and roads are being conducted in the state of Assam to prevent spread of COVID-19. However, as of now, COVID-19 positivity is gradually decreasing in the state and the country as of now. Therefore, in partial modification of the existing regulations, revised measures were adopted for ensuring the safety and convenience of all the passengers travelling to Assam through air, railway and road transportation.

I. All incoming passengers, who have been vaccinated with two doses of COVID-19 vaccines and possess such certificate, on production of the same in front of screening Authority, shall be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at Airports, Railway stations, Road Border Points etc.

2. However, passengers who are vaccinated with single dose or not having any vaccination and those who are symptomatic, even with two doses of vaccination shall have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR testing at their own cost on arrival at airports, railway stations etc. in Assam, for which a subsidized rate of Rs 250/- only per RTPCR test shall be charged.

This was stated in an order issued by Anurag Goel, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Health & Family Welfare Department, Dispur, Assam on 1 September, 2021. It was further stated that this notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
