13 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Friday

Aug 27: A total of 13 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Friday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,435 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 09 persons were found positive, whereas 04 more were detected positive in RT-PCR test. It needs mention here that 22 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Thursday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 26 August to 5 PM on 27 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 27 August, there were 24 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 18 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 05 of them were discharged.
