Cachar Police seizes suspected heroin, 1 peddler nabbed at Lakhipur

July 19: In another successful operation on Monday evening, acting on a tip off, SDPO Lakhipur and staff intercepted a person on a scooty alongwith OC Lakhipur and staff while he was coming from Jirighat towards Fulerthal. On being searched, 5 soap cases containing 62 grams of suspected Heroin was recovered from the possession of one Sanga Hmar, S/O Ltate Thinley Hmar of Lower Lobankhal, PS:- Lakhipur. The peddler was apprehended and necessary legal formalities were initiated.
