1,992 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 2,498 discharged & 27 deaths registered
There are 19,120 active Covid cases in Assam
July 15: On Thursday, out of 1,20,908 tests, 1,992 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,42,445. The positivity rate in the state is 1.65 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 263 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 27 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,937. The recovery rate is 95.32 percent.
It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 2,046 persons tested positive in Assam and 22 deaths were registered.
On Thursday, 2,498 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,17,041 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 95.32 percent. At present, there are 19,120 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 27 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 27 deceased, 05 are from Jorhat, 04 from Dibrugarh; 02 each from Cachar, Darrang, Kamrup Metro, Karbi Anglong, Morigaon & Sonitpur; 01 each from Barpeta, Biswanath, Hojai, Kamrup Rural, Kokhrajhar & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,937.
