93 tests Covid +ve in Karimganj on Monday, 112 discharged

June 7: Karimganj registered 93 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday. The district has currently 1,136 active COVID-19 cases, while 112 patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Monday. 3,789 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 31 positive cases were detected in Karimganj on Sunday.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 6 June to 5 PM on 7 June) witnessed demise of 06 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 6 deceased, 05 are from Cachar district, while 01 is from Karimganj district.

The deceased from Karimganj was identified as Hawarunnesha (65) from Patherkandi in Karimganj district was admitted at SMCH on 6 June. She died at 1 PM on 7 June.
