767 tests +ve in Assam on Friday; 931 patients discharged

Oct. 16: On Friday, out of 34,714 tests only 767 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 1,99,749, out of which, 28,630 are active cases. The positivity rate in the state is 2.21 percent.

On Friday, 931 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,70,263 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Further, during the day, 10 more persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 853.
