686 found Covid +ve in Assam on Tuesday, active cases 5,543 in the state

July 26: On Tuesday, out of 7,499 tests, 686 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,36,307. The positivity rate in the state is 9.15 percent. Out of the 686 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Dibrugarh (53), Dhemaji (45), Lakhimpur (45), Cachar (43) and Baksa (37).

Further, on Tuesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,662. The recovery rate is 98.16 percent. 748 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,22,750 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,543 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 760 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
