Wrestler Naveen defeats Pakistan’s Tahir to win India’s 12th gold at CWG 2022

Aug. 7: It’s the day for India at the Commonwealth Games 2022. India’s 19-year-old wrestler Naveen defeated Pakistan’s Muhammad Sharif Tahir to bag gold in the men’s freestyle 74 kg event, taking India’s gold medal tally at CWG 2022 to 12.

India have now won a total of 34 medals at CWG 2022, including 10 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals. As many as six Indian wrestlers won gold at CWG 2022.
