AIUDF will form Govt in Assam in 2026 or 2031, but Ajmal will not become the CM: MLA Karim Uddin

March 26: In a startling revelation, AIUDF MLA from Sonai, Karim Uddin Barbhuiya wile speaking with a news agency expressed optimism that in 2026 or in 2031, his party will form government in Assam. However, at the same time, MLA Karim Uddin was quick to add that though his party will come to power in the near future, but the party supremo, Maulana Badruddin Ajmal is not going to be the Chief Minister of Assam.

“We understand the sentiment of the people of the state. We will form the government, but Mr Ajmal will not become the CM. The Chief Minister will be from someone among us mainstream Assamese people,” added MLA Karim Uddin Barbhuyan.

However, this statement of AIUDF MLA has given rise to speculations among the political corridors of the state. Social media users have responded by stating that probably the AIUDF MLA is trying to shift his allegiance to the BJP and that’s why he has resorted to such statements.
