42-bedded Players Hostel at DSA Silchar to be inaugurated by ACA Secy Devajit Lon Saikia on 27 Aug

way2barak Aug. 25: After overcoming much hurdles, District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar has become successful in adding another feather on its cap.. The much awaited Players Hostel is all set for inauguration. Earlier, the players faced much difficulties and discomfort to stay within the DSA campus. However, now with the construction of the Players Hostel equipped with all modern amenities, it would be very convenient to stay well within the campus of District Sports Association, Silchar.

It’s indeed a laudable effort on the part of the present DSA executive committee under the able leadership of its President Babul Hore and General Secretary Bijendra Prasad Singh that this Players Hostel has been constructed without any financial support from the Government. Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharjee, a vivid sports lover too took keen interest along with others for the completion of this project. Positive support was also extended in this regard by Umesh Kr. Sarada and Saptajit Dey.

This Players Hostel will be formally inaugurated by Devajit Lon Saikia, Honorary Secretary of Assam Cricket Association on 27 August, 2022, Saturday at 4pm. It needs mention here that this hostel was constructed at an expense of Rs.18 lakh. There are a total of 42 beds and 7 attached bathrooms apart from lockers for the players in this hostel.
