Art display zone inaugurated at Assam University
শিল্পকলা প্রদর্শনী স্থানের উদ্বোধন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১০ সেপ্টেম্বর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দৃশ্যকলা বিভাগে শিল্পকলা প্রদর্শনী স্থানের উদ্বোধন করা হল। গতকাল দৃশ্যকলা বিভাগের উপরতলায় এই স্থায়ী প্রদর্শনীর আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ। সঙ্গে ছিলেন গবেষণা ও পরামর্শ বিষয়ক ডিন অধ্যাপক পীয়ুষ পাণ্ডে, সংশ্লিষ্ট স্কুলের ডিন তথা বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক নির্মল কান্তি রায়, বিত্ত আধিকারিক ড. শুভদীপ ধর, গণজ্ঞাপন বিভাগের প্রধান ড. চার্বাক, আইকিউএসি’র প্রকল্প বিষয়ক প্রতিনিধি ড. আলফরিদ হোসেইন প্রমুখ।

এদিন ‘ডিসপ্লে জোন’ নামে এই শিল্পকলা, আলোকচিত্র ও ভাস্কর্য প্রদর্শনীর উদ্বোধনের পাশাপাশি সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগের শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের পরিচালিত ছত্তিশগড়ের ক্রিয়েটিভ কনসালটেন্সি প্রজেক্ট (সিসিপিসি) নিয়ে একটি বিশেষ স্ক্রিনিং সেশনও আয়োজিত হয়।

এ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাগত বক্তব্য পেশ করেন ডিন তথা বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক নির্মল কান্তি রায়। সিসিপিসির সমন্বয়কারী ড. গৌতম দত্ত প্রকল্পের বিষয়ে বিস্তৃত তথ্য উপস্থাপন করেন। উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থ ছত্তিশগড় সরকারের জন্য সৃজনশীল ব্র্যান্ড-বিল্ডিং প্রকল্প তৈরি করায় বিভাগের প্রশংসা করেন। প্রাসঙ্গিক বক্তব্য রাখেন অধ্যাপক পীযূষ পান্ডে ও ডঃ আলফারিদ হোসেইনও।

এদিন বিভিন্ন আঞ্চলিক ও জাতীয় প্রতিযোগিতা এবং সিসিসিপি প্রকল্পের পুরষ্কারপ্রাপ্তদের সার্টিফিকেট ও পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়। প্রকল্পের উপ-সমন্বয়কারী ড. দেবাশিস চক্রবর্তীর আনুষ্ঠানিক ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপনের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানটি শেষ হয়। প্রসঙ্গত, বিভাগের ডিজাইন অ্যান্ড অ্যামিনেশন ক্লাবের উদ্যোগে এই ডিসপ্লে জোন খোলা হয়েছে।

Way2barak, September 10 : The Department of Visual Arts at Assam University added yet another feather to its already illustrious cap with the grand inauguration of an art and photography exhibition space called the ‘Display Zone’ at the top floor of the Department, which also saw a special screening session showcasing the artistic achievements of the Creative Consultancy Project Chhattisgarh (CCPC) carried out by the teachers and students of the Department of Visual Arts.

The Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, presided as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the new exhibition space. The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Prof. Piyush Pandey, Dean of Research and Consultancy and advisor to the project; Dr. Subhadeep Dhar, Finance Officer; Dr. Alfarid Hussain, IQAC representative of the project; Dr. Charvak, Head of the Department of Mass Communication; and Md Abdul Jalil. Faculty members, scholars, and students of the department were also present.

The Head of the Department, Prof. Nirmal Kanti Roy, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Gautam Dutta, the Coordinator of the CCPC, provided a comprehensive overview of the project, detailing its objectives and the significant learning outcomes achieved by the students involved. The showcased artworks served as a testament to the project’s success in applying academic knowledge to practical, creative consultancy work.

The Vice Chancellor in his address appreciated the Department for the creative brand-building project for the Government of Chattisgarh. Prof. Piyush Pandey and Dr. Alfarid Hussain also spoke on the occasion.

A highlight of the session was the distribution of certificates and prizes to awardees of various regional and national competitions and the CCCP project, recognizing their exceptional talent and dedication. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Debasish Chakraborty, the project’s Deputy Coordinator.
