3 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & 2 in Hailakandi on Friday

Dec. 17: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Friday, Hailakandi registered 02 new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether has 05 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 667 RAT tests and 74 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,928 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,496 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no person was found positive in Hailakandi on Thursday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,536 persons were vaccinated on Friday.

Karimganj registered 03 fresh COVID cases on Friday. The district has currently 19 active COVID cases, while 02 patients were discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Friday. 888 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that no persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Thursday.
