2561 patients discharged in Assam on Wednesday
Oct. 7: On Wednesday, 2561 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,57,635 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. At present, there are 31,786 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Today 2561 patients have been discharged, hence taking the discharge percent to 82.87%.”
On Wednesday, 1307 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,90,209. During the day, 33,346 tests were done in Assam. Moreover, during the day, another 07 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 785.
